Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MG HOLDINGS LLC, doing business as Minerals Guy and Learn Minerals ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit our websites (learnminerals.com and its subdomains), buy from us, or use our workshops, courses, community, emails and text messages (the "Services").

1. Information we collect

You give us:

• Name, email address and phone number
• Billing details. Your card is processed by Stripe; we don't store full card numbers.
• Answers to forms or surveys, messages you send us, and anything you post in the community or say on recorded group calls

Collected automatically:

• Device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, links clicked, and the ad or link that brought you to us. This includes campaign tags and Meta and Google click IDs.
• Collected through cookies, pixels and similar tools (see Section 4).

From others:

• Our payment, checkout and course platforms, about your purchases and access
• Advertising platforms, about ad performance
• Identity-resolution providers (see Section 4), which may tell us the name, email or mailing address associated with a visitor who hasn't filled out a form

2. How we use it

• To process orders, deliver products, give you access, and provide support
• To run payment plans and process refunds
• To send order, access, onboarding and scheduling emails and texts
• To send marketing emails, and marketing texts if you opted in
• To call you about your purchase and about our other products and services, including coaching
• To measure and improve our site, courses and ads, including reporting purchases to ad platforms so we can measure campaigns
• To keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information with service providers that help us run the business, only as needed for their work:

We may also share information:

• with our team members and contractors who support students
• to comply with the law, or to protect rights and safety
• in a business sale or reorganization, under this Policy

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state laws treat sharing data with ad platforms for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing." Section 6 explains how to opt out.

Text messaging: we do not sell or share your mobile number or text-message opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.

4. Cookies, pixels and advertising

We use cookies and pixels, including the Meta pixel and Conversions API, the Google Ads tag, and the Datamoon pixel, to understand how people use our site and to measure and target our ads. When you buy, we may send the ad platform a hashed (scrambled) version of your email or phone number so it can match the purchase to an ad.

Identity resolution. Our Datamoon pixel may match your visit to information Datamoon already holds, such as your name, email or mailing address, even if you haven't filled out a form. We use that information only to follow up about Learn Minerals, and you can unsubscribe from anything we send.

Your choices:

• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
• Adjust your ad preferences in your Meta and Google account settings.
• Email us to opt out of targeted advertising (Section 6).
• We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out for that browser: when it's on, our site doesn't load the Meta, Google Ads or Datamoon tags.

5. Your choices

• Emails: click unsubscribe in any marketing email. We'll still send order and access emails.
• Texts: reply STOP to any text, or HELP for help.
• Calls: tell the caller or email admin@mineralsguy.com to stop marketing calls.
• Account details: email us to update your information.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example Colorado, California or other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:

• Know or access the personal information we have about you
• Correct it
• Delete it
• Get a copy in a portable format
• Opt out of targeted advertising, "sale" or "sharing," and profiling

To make a request, email admin@mineralsguy.com with the subject "Privacy Request."

• We will verify your identity before acting on it. An authorized agent can make a request for you with written permission.
• We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
• If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject.

7. How long we keep it

• Purchase and tax records: as long as the law requires, generally up to 7 years.
• Account and course data: while you have access, and for a reasonable time after.
• Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Call recordings: as long as they are useful to members.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, and our payment provider handles card data under industry standards. No system is perfectly secure.

9. Children

The Services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child gave us information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Other websites

Our course links to outside sites and tools (county records, state agencies, mapping and data providers). Their own privacy policies govern them.

11. Changes

We will post updates here with a new effective date. For material changes, we will also notify customers by email.
